How long does the "available" status stay before it switches to "away"?

I found the answer on another thread: 

 

The status will change to "idle" or "away" after 5 minutes of inactivity in the Stride app.

Is there a way to override this and stay available?  So when i'm working in another window, my coworkers know I'm still available?

If I haven't been active in stride for a while, it shows me as away.
