Getting notification when mentionned in a 1:1 chat between two other users

When chatting with a team mate I mentioned another team mate using @ but he did not get any notification.

Is this normal?

Hi Gregory,

Yes, this is the expected behavior. The 1-1 chats have an idea to be more private (between 2 users only) hence it won't notify other users if they are @mentioned in the chat.

Also, if you have a 1-1 chat with a colleague, and you want to involve a 3rd or 4th person to the conversation you cannot do this right now unless you create a room or join a room, right? But this is about to change soon with a new feature that will be available in a future release! The feature will allow you to add 2+ people in the 1-1 chat. Stay tuned :)

Thanks for the answer.

Can't wait to see those new features.
