Hi All,
We just rolled Stride out a couple of weeks ago to replace Hip Chat. We are very happy with the ideas behind it and the overall functionality. However we were hoping to replace GTM with Stride for standup and smaller meetings but have found audio quality becomes unusable at points. Has anyone else experienced this or have any advice?
thanks!
Hey @JB -- Sorry to hear that. Definitely not the experience we're aiming for.
Any chance you could help us get more information on that so we can help solve it for you? What patterns are you seeing when you experience those issues? Just audio, or video as well? Does it happen with 2+ participants?
There is some help content here too: https://confluence.atlassian.com/stride-documentation/troubleshoot-meeting-issues-939921242.html
Hi Evan,
Sorry for the delay here. It seems to be with audio at this point, though i will say we had the issue regarding the following ticket:
Additionally we ran a senior team meeting this morning with no issues with audio via USB.
We have a 250x250 connection here as well so you know (should be strong enough to handle voice).
The audio issues tend to be more towards quality, there's a lot of jitter and distortion.

Yup -- similar to what @pdomas mentions below: This helps confirm a few things for us. So we're digging in on our side right now; no clear deliverable or timeline yet.

If you're having problems with audio it most likely means that there are problems with the network connection. It could be that the route to our server is not optimal or maybe you're network is busy and it needs some traffic prioritisation.
Do you see any difference in a call with just 2 people vs 3+ ? In a call of 2 people the traffic will be routed directly (if peer to peer connection is possible), but when another person joins it will go through our forwarding service. So if audio is fine in a call of 2 then it means it could be something with the route to our service.
Few more questions: do you use VPN ? Are you on wifi or LAN ? Is your team spread across the world (if yes what regions are you in) ?

Hi Pawel, we did have the issue below (attached screenshot as well) but it seems to be regardless of the number of participants and it seems random at times. VPN is not being used for these and it's via LAN. Other users are across the US.

So this one is something we're actively working on, but there's no ETA on when it will be finally working in all cases.
