how to make restrcition

Guillaume Sanchez March 18, 2018

Hello,

Hello, I have several teams that will use Stride. The problem is that I do not want some teams to talk to each other.

Can we manage groups to give access to some rooms and prevent the creation of new rooms ?

Thank you

You can create public and private rooms.  Private rooms being invite only.

Sometimes it's okay if the whole team joins in on the conversation, and sometimes conversations need a little more discretion. When you create a room you can choose to make it public or private. You can also change an existing room to public or private anytime.

Public rooms are rooms that anyone on your team can find and chat in. Private rooms are rooms that only people added to them can find and chat in. If you haven't been added to a private room, you won't see it in the directory or find it when you search.

As for creating rooms, anyone on a team can create rooms.

We keep room permissions pretty simple in Stride:

  • Anyone on your team can create rooms
  • Anyone in the room can add people and apps to the room, as well as edit the room's settings
  • Anyone who's been added to a private room can also remove people from the room
