"Git LFS: install required"

Akira Youngblood December 8, 2017

After cloning an LFS-enabled repository from a BitBucket server, I get the following notification each time I start Sourcetree and after most operations on the repo (pushing/pulling/etc):

lfs-complaint.PNG

Regardless of whether I select Yes or No, the dialog constantly re-appears. I am aware that I can check "Don't ask me again" but I am concerned that this indicates a problem with SourceTree's LFS support and using Sourcetree with this repo will cause problems with LFS.

Is Sourcetree expected to work 'out of the box' with LFS-enabled repos? Is there a workaround for this warning?

If Git and Git-LFS have been properly downloaded and installed then everything should "just work" with Sourcetree. I'll have one of the Windows devs chime in as well to confirm.
