I double clicked on a commit, the head was reset, but the files are still the same, showing today's date as modified date .. i need to get an old version ... i need to get a version from a year ago .. how do i do this?
ok it seems like although the file dates do not go back to the original date (would be nice), double clicking on the commit does revert the files .. very simple .. you gys seriously need some help documentation for sourcetree ... love it though
Don't know if SouceTree can do it. But if you the commit id (git log <filename>), you can always revert to that version.

actually i do not want to affect the server at all .. for example, we have 100 modifications per day .. one of the them was good .. a tester might want to grab that version they tagged .. HOW TO GET IT??? is there anyone here would knows how this product works? HOW DO I GET AN OLD VERSION OF ALL THE FILES? .. it seems to be a reasonable thing to want to do with a source control system
