My SourceTree shows 1.7.0.4 but command prompt (WIN7) shows git version 1.9.4.msysgit.2
I see below errors when cloning or adding repositories.
Please help!!!
--------------------------- Error encountered ---------------------------
'git status' failed with code 129: Unknown option: -c
usage: git [--version] [--exec-path[=GIT_EXEC_PATH]] [--html-path] [-p|--paginate|--no-pager] [--no-replace-objects] [--bare] [--git-dir=GIT_DIR] [--work-tree=GIT_WORK_TREE] [--help] COMMAND [ARGS] (C:\BondWorks\webclients) --------------------------- OK ---------------------------
Try switching SourceTree to use the System Git or update the embedded Git (both in Tools\Options\Git). (It is probably using the embedded 1.7.0.4, which is pretty old.)
