It looks to me like your remote isn't a bare repository. Check this StackOverflow link for more help - it's the same problem as you're experiencing: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12265729/git-config-receive-denycurrentbranch

Hi Sanjay,

Your remote is set up to be E:\my_backup.git which is reporting to be not a valid Git repository. This is either because you don't have access rights to it or it's invalid. Could you check this is the correct location of the Git repository?
