data /a:rchitect December 16, 2018

Hi for the past month i have been evaluating ( eventually purchased ) bitbucket.
But after running into issues and researching online we can NEVER use a desktop client to access our server to pull or push. we used many clients including the latest version of github, source tree and others.

Failed to check login for user [xxxxx.xxxxxx]. You do not have permission to access URL ‘https://bitbucket.xxxxxxxxx.com/rest/api/1.0/users/xxxxxx.xxxxxx’ please check the user credentials associated with this account. The request returned with status code ‘Unauthorized’. You are not permitted to access this resource

to date 12.16.2018 we have not found any solutions to this issue

thanks for response

Hey Jim!

You said you tried different clients but you were never able to push or pull. Are you getting the same error in all of them? Also, can you try removing the "https://" part from the hostname, or change the protocol to HTTP instead of SSH?

For troubleshooting purposes, can you try pulling/pushing from the command line? Do you get any error?

Let us know how it goes!

Ana
