Working with Multiple Git Accounts

Prabhat Nath September 23, 2016

Hello,

We are new to Git and started using GitLab for all our private repositories and using SourceTree as desktop client App.

I have 2 company accounts (myname@company1.com and myname@company2.com) accessing GitLab projects from both companies.  myname@company1.com has permissions to Company-1 GitLab projects and same for the other user with Company-2 as well.

After I install SourceTree first time I can clone the GitLab URL of Company-1 and it asks for user credentials and I provided Company-1 user details and it worked. Now If I want to clone projects of Company-2 it says invalid Git. I understand SourceTree trying to use Company-1 credentials for Company-2 projects.

How can I make sure I can Clone projects from both the GitLab projects and commit in the same way as well.

Thanks.

I am not sure if the scenario in the question is valid for other users but for me it looks like a feature request? Please advise how can we use multiple accounts for different projects?
