Win10: Source Tree ist super slow (3-4 fps)

Marco Schär December 18, 2018

Hello

I used Source Tree as my primary git Tool. But since i installed the new 3.x Version it is no longer usable for me. I got just 3-4 FPS when i have source tree open and move the mouse over the source tree window. it's horribly slow! as soon as i bring another window in front, all is fine and i get my normally 144 fps. but the work in source tree is so laggy and slow, that i have to use another git client...

has anyone an idea how i can fix this problem? in the older 2.x versions i had no problems with my fps and it performed really well.

i'm running source tree on a win 10 pro machine with i9 and rtx2080ti

Hi
We've not experienced this, could you attach  video?

I found out why it's so slow...

The reason is: GSYNC. I also used new monitors with 165hz and GSYNC. It seems that electron apps have dramatic frame losses when gsync is enabled.

just disable gsync and it works. but why the hell should i buy a 165hz monitor if i cant use the herz on all new apps :S

Just to clarify. Sourcetree is a WPF/.NET app not electron.
