Why is SurceTree so slow?

All operations (commands) are performed very long. GitKraken performs the same commands faster.

SourceTree development team is constantly working on product enhancements and product performance is definitely important to us. You can see the list of recent improvements here.

Hi Александр, could you give us an example of some commands that are being slow and how long do they take to be executed? Remember to mention as well which OS and version are you using, and which is your version of SourceTree.

Regards!

Ana

Ana, thank you for choosing to help me. How do you think the Atlassian could argue this? Exactly this:

On my Win10 64, Core I5 / 8 GB RAM, Sourcetree 2.1.2.5 is very very slow:

- Starting application: 48 sec

- In log/history view: clicking on any commit to see e.g. which files have been altered: 8-10 sec

- Clicking Tools-->Options: 17 sec. Closing Options dialog: 15 sec

- Opening new repo: 42 sec

- Checkout branch: 30 sec (In Netbeans <4 sec, command line <2 sec)

I'm experiencing the about the same speed problem as you :(

It seems to be tracked using https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/SRCTREEWIN-7374?_ga=2.83155478.1432146037.1502963534-484310358.1491828880
