Why does source trees working copy show ignored file extensions?

PlanningDev June 7, 2013

I am new to source tree and git but I have setup git on a remote file share and added the file extensions to the ignore list but the working copy shows all the files in the root directory? This makes source tree super slow to refresh since its trying to bring back 2500+ files when I only need a fraction of those to show up?

Does this make sense?

Setting the ignores in the repo specific settings worked. Not sure why the global ignore list wasn't respected.
