Why does Sourcetree 2.6 (Mac) not allow me to select a commit when I have a branch selected?

Just updated to Sourcetree 2.6 (122) on Mac and now in History view, if I select a branch on the left and click a commit on the right, it switches to the commit I clicked but then immediately jumps back to the head of the branch that's selected on the left.

If I click History this stops happening, but also jumps back to my current head, making it impossible for me to click a branch and then browse through its commits.

Is this new behaviour intentional?
