When switching from system GIT to embedded GIT, would I archive the repos first and import?

Edward Roms March 23, 2016

We are using sourcetree-windows, and need to switch from system GIT to embedded GIT. I'm somewhat concerned about breaking the repos, although they are backed up in BitBucket. Before clicking the 'Use Embedded Git' button, should I archive the repositories? Anything else to do first?    --thx

I can't see why.  The repos themselves won't be affected by that change, it will just change the path to the git executable that SourceTree uses.
