Use sourcetree over ssh

Stef Wijnberg August 20, 2014

Hi guys,

I am now working with SourceTree for the past 3 months. Works really great! I have only one issue.

We work with a local development server here in the office. I mount the filesystem of the server with NFS. With a lot of git actions, wich is very slow over a mount it takes a lot of time for a simple push.

Is it possible that SourceTree can work over ssh? So SourceTree runs all the git commands over SSH and not not from on local machine.

Hope you guys have an answer : )

Cheers, Stef

This has been asked many times before.

To summarize, you should use that server as a remote, not as an NFS local drive.
