Unable to push/pull after Sourcetree upgrade

Kiran John August 16, 2017

Hi Team,

Some users are using Sourcetree to pull/push from Bitbucket. When they are trying to update SourceTree 2.1.2.5. they are unable to push/pull.

User is getting this error message.
git -c diff.mnemonicprefix=false -c core.quotepath=false fetch origin
fatal: Authentication failed for 'https://MORANL@bitbucket.pearson.com/scm/cdev/wrat-5.git/'

If user is trying to push without updating SourceTree, able to push or pull. If not, users are unable to push/pull.

Checkout this thread, https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Bitbucket-questions/SourceTree-2-1-10-0-Authentication-Issues/qaq-p/623202, about authentication issues in the new version of SourceTree. Hopefully that will help.
