The guide to merging branch with main root/trunk/master/whatever assumes that you have one little commit prior to the merge. This seems misleading (or perhaps I am missing something), because there could be MANY commits in real world code merges. Suppose I want to merge 10 commits? Or a hundred?
Hello! Merging a commit doesn't just merge that one commit -- it merges all changes on that branch to the branch you're merging into.
