The application "" can't be opened

FYI - I am running version 10.14.2 of Mac OS X.

I just downloaded SourceTree version 3.1.2 for Mac.

Previously I was running 2.7.6?

I unzipped the download file.

I tried to run

It failed with the error above.

When I looked in the console, I saw this error:

Non-fatal error enumerating at <private>, continuing: Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=260 "The file “PlugIns” couldn’t be opened because there is no such file." UserInfo={NSURL=PlugIns/ -- file:///Applications/, NSFilePath=/Applications/, NSUnderlyingError=0x7f9b6de23d70 {Error Domain=NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=2 "No such file or directory"}}
