Hello, I haven't used sourcetree in awhile and have difficulty accessing my remote git repo.

I'm trying to add an account on Remote repositories page and keep getting

sourcetree you do not have permission to access url "api.bitbucket.org/2.0/user" unauthorized

Steps

1) Click Remote

2) Click "+" Add an account

3) "Edit Hosing Account" window pops up

4) Hosting Service: Bitbucket

    Preferred Protocl: HTTPS

    Authentication: Basic

    Username:

    Password

5) Click ok and get the message above

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Hello @Randy Rose

First, ensure your credentials (username and app password) are correct, as app passwords are required for authentication with HTTPS.

You may need to generate a new app password in your Bitbucket account settings and use it in place of your regular password.

If authentication issues persist, clear stored credentials from Sourcetree’s Tools > Options > Authentication section and re-add your Bitbucket account.

Hope this helps :)
