Sourcetree 1.4.10 crashes on windows 8.1

I am experiencing the following problem even after removing all appdata and reinstalling the program keeps crashing on windows 8.1 making it unusable. The weird thing at work i run it on windows 8.1 to where it works without a problem.

Generally what happens is it starts up okay, but the moment you try to open a window the content of the window is not rendered (buttons that are somewhere on the window do work though dont know why) after a few seconds though the whole application crashes.
