SourceTree doesn't respect refresh=false

VipSaran November 21, 2017

Just upgraded to v2 (2.3.5.0) which I have been postponing ever since 2.0 came out and it was so buggy it was unusable, so I had to keep using 1.9. Now, stupid me, listened to a friend who said that v2 "works ok" and installed it... and in 2 minutes found 3 bugs. Oh dear.

User.config:

 <setting name="RefreshOnFileEvents" serializeAs="String">
<value>False</value>
</setting>

Settings, global and repo:

settings-global.pngsettings-repo.png

Yet, even with all that (not that the repo-inividual settings should be relevant when global ones are off), when a file is removed/added in the repo, the repo is REFRESHED AUTOMATICALLY!

Video proof: WMV on Google Drive

Each application focus causes the repo to be refreshed...

Really annoying how several layers of options don't matter and app keeps doing what it thinks is "best".

How can this be worked-around and when will this be fixed?

Hi

You are correct that the application will refresh when the app comes back into focus, this is intentional. However we will look again at the interactions between the different settings.

Thanks.

There's a Jira ticket for this: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/SRCTREEWIN-8184

Please let me know if you need more info/logs/settings.
