SourceTree cannot start after the latest Windows 10 insider build installed

James Ma May 18, 2016

I have been using SourceTree 1.8.3 on Windows 10 for few months, and it works fine.

I have just upgraded my Windows 10 to latest insider build yesterday, and it still works right after the upgrade, but after I have rebooted the machine, it cannot start anymore.

When I click to start SourceTree, the cursor turn to running status and then return to normal after few seconds. And I have checked the Task Manager, the process of SourceTree has been shown, but disappeared soon.

It cannot start even I have completely uninstalled and then install it again. I also tried to start it as Administrator, but still failed.

As there has no error message prompted, I cannot guess if this related to the latest Windows 10 build, but this is the only change in my PC recently.

Is that any way to trace why the SourceTree application cannot be started? Any suggestion to fix this issue?

Thanks in advance.
