Aaron B August 4, 2017

Hi all,

Using SourceTree, I'm receiving an error when I am trying to Clone a Git directory using Https. Has anyone run into this before? I'm having trouble finding a fix or workaround. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

SourceTree Version: 2.6.1

OS: MacOS Sierra

SourceTree Log:

error: RPC failed; curl 56 SSLRead() return error -36
fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly
fatal: early EOF

Hi Aaron! The article Git clone fails offers some tips for the part regarding the error "curl 56". Can you provide us more information so we can help you troubleshoot this issue?:

  • Are you also getting this error when pulling / pushing?
  • Do you get this error if you try cloning from the terminal?
  • Did you update / changes something recently?

Best regards,

Ana
