SourceTree/Mercurial/Bitbucket - cloning yields HTTP error 404

Per Hellstrom March 25, 2014

I get HTTP error 404 when I try to clone the tutorial repository to my local drive with SourceTree/Mercurial/Bitbucket. The source address is https://phell@bitbucket.org/phell/tutorial.gitand Mercurial support looks enabled in SourceTree under Options.

Earlier I removed an error by adding

[hostfingerprints]
bitbucket.org = 67:b3:bf:9f:c5:38:0e:4c:dd:4e:8a:da:3d:11:1b:c2:a5:d1:6c:6b

in the mercurial.ini file so I guess SourceTree at least is trying to communicate with Bitbucket.

Just off the top of my head, it doesn't seem correct that "tutorial.git" would be a Mercurial repository, but I wouldn't expect a 404 error in that scenario.

Make sure you're actually using an @ symbol and not %40.

You are quite right. Cloning works after I enabled git under SourceTree options.
