SourceTree 2 is terribly slow rescanning a small-ish repo

Chris Nelson June 13, 2017

When switching back to SourceTree (on Windows 8), STv2 usually takes a painfully long time to resync with the file states and sometimes fails to do so at all until I press F5.  v1 had no noticible lag.

Hi Chris! In version 2 we changed from LibGit1 to LibGit2. The latter is faster for most of our users, but we've found out that for others this is not the case. You can find this information at SourceTree for Windows 2.0.

We've already filed a bug for it, SRCTREEWIN-7024 and our developers are working on it.

If there's something non standard in your computer or you have some thoughts about it, please add a comment to the bug ticket and it will help our developers with the investigation.

Regards,

Ana
