SourceTree 2.0.4 crashes constantly (every few clicks) on OSX 10.7.5. How can I downgrade to a version that works?

sseike January 7, 2015

The previous version (1.7 or 1.8?) was working fine, but since I upgraded, it has become totally unusable.  For example, merely attempting to open a folder causes:

Hi, this problem is fixed by the use of the special package of git available here :

http://sourceforge.net/projects/git-osx-installer/files/git-2.2.1-intel-universal-snow-leopard.dmg/download

Don't be afraid, this git package is suitable for your Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (the same i have), even if its name speaks about snow leopard.

Of course you must change in the source tree preferences panel the git version and use the git of your system (the one previously installed: see above wink )

I hope this will help you.

Have fun!
