I tried to add repository cloned from a GitBlit Server and stored on a network drive to the Local repository. It is allowed to add it but when you try to open it it says Repository Missing. When I clone it it works flawless.
Can someexplain why this happens?
btw. how can I add bookmarks to Local repository?
first I tried open new tab -> Add a repository, what shows up in Local repository but when I try to open it is says: Repository Missing
But when I do open new tab -> Clone of exactly the same repo it works flawless.
Hi Stefan! When you said you cloned the repo to the Local repository, do you mean you used the option New > Add existing local repository from SourceTree?
Working with network mounted volumes for managing your repositories can be problematic, you can check Kieran's answer in this Community thread for more details. Our advice would be not to do this and keep your repositories on your local drive, then push the changes to the remote.
You can also read Git on the Server - The protocols for more information.
In relation to the bookmarks, have a look at the article Bookmarks overview.
Hope this helps!
