Repo is cloned using Source tree. but git status shows uncommitted files

Step 1) repo cloned in source tree

Step 2) navigated to the directory of the local repo in command line and entered git status,. Shows all the files in the repo as uncommitted.

What does sourcetree show?

Does sourcetree show the files have changes but the preview of those changes in blank?

i am sorry i checked the git status in Ubunut WSL bash command line. if  i check in windows cmd.exe then the status is correct and it says that the branch is up-to date.
