Issues with Remote Repo Browser

rolehand February 12, 2018

When trying to refresh my remote repo list in the repo browser window, I always get an authentication error. Using SSH to connect to a hosted GIT environment.

Login failed for your Bitbucket Server account.

The remote service said: 'Login error'

Pushing/Pulling from within a repo seems to be working fine.

Any ideas? Or is this a known bug?

Hi Manjunath,

Unfortunately, changing to https did not do the trick for me.
I get the same error.

By the way, we are using a setup on githost, which, if I'm correct, doesn't need any password, since the SSH key is used to identify me.

I'm assuming your git host is a bitbucket server instance. Please correct me if I'm wrong. How do you login to the web interface of your server?

Hosted on githost.io indeed.

I log in using my email address and password. (No 2FA active)

Using https I can also get pull/push to work. Only the repo browser refuses to be happy..

Alright! That's a gitlab service and not bitbucket server. We have limited support for gitlab accounts as of now. Having said that, it means we support all git interactions but not a full fledged REST interactions which is needed to pull all remote hosts information. You can request for this as a new feature or vote on existing tickets tracking this at https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/SRCTREE

Thanks!

Hi @rolehand

Since we do not have the account password for Bitbucket server and ssh combination, we cannot show the list of remote repositories right now. We are tracking this issue and will make appropriate changes in an upcoming release to introduce the password field and display all the remotes.

In the meanwhile you can use https if you'd like to see the list of remotes and all git operations would work just like ssh.

Thanks,
