Is there an option that whether or not to delete remote branch when I finish a feature?

Wayne Hsu January 2, 2018

(Sorry for any grammatical mistakes.)

My friend and I did the same steps below by SourceTree:

  1. create a feature named "TEST-1234_AAAA" from Develop and switch to it
  2. edit a file and make a commit
  3. push "TEST-1234_AAAA" to our Git server
  4. finish and delete "TEST-1234_AAAA"

Somehow we got different results,
my feature on remote was still alive, but his got deleted.

Here is my output message during feature finishing:

GrOdu

and here is his output message:

8Ilzz

Is there any option or setting can cause the difference?

I would be thankful for any help.

Hello! When finishing a feature with git-flow, check your settings and see if "Delete branch" is checked. I suspect it's checked on one, and not the other:

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your response.

We both checked that option certainly, and the local feature both got deleted. But as far as I know, this shouldn't affect the feature we pushed before on remote.

What bothers me is why did his feature on remote got deleted, too?
