How to make Sourcetree use common GIT.exe?

I have a TortoiseGIT and mSysGit.exe which I have configured to handle my GIT server (SSL) with a self-signed certificate. But now with SourceTree that common environmental variable is not respected and it wants its own settings to disable SSL verification because I believe SourceTree has its own private GIT.exe

Is there a way, I can have SourceTree to use the common GIT.exe as Tortoise GIT?

Tools > Options > Git > Use System Git

Please note however that this is designed to work with the standard Git from http://git-scm.com and not TortoiseGit's version. But any reasonably recent version laid out like the standard version should work fine.
