How to display external diff result in panel

Hi 

I'm trying to use an external diff, and I wish to display the diff result in the panel of SourceTree.

Currently when I simply trigger my external diff, nothing would happen, SourceTree couldn't capture the result. But if I change my config and make the external diff to output result to a local file in my pc, it will work.

How can I make SourceTree to display external diff result in its panel?

The external diff option will always open the diffing application, it does not display the results inside SourceTree.
