Sorry if this has been asked / answered already.
I did a little bit of googling and didn't find a proper answer.
System
Windows 10
What I did:
1. Installed version 2.x.
2. Regret I installed it.
3. Want to get rid of it.
Problem
When trying to install 1.9 (instead of 2.x) I get installer message saying that I've got a later / newer version installed.
What I've tried so far
- I've uninstalled the 2.x version with ccleaner
- Tried to remove all sourcetree* files from boot drive, but still the same issue
Maybe there is something left in registry or somewhere else.
Any help is appreciated!
Hi
v2.x does not unintiall v1.x as they use completely different installers and locations.
The message you are getting from the 1.9 installer sounds like the 1.9 installer has found a later version of 1.9 installed, it doesn't recognize the 2.x installations. Although it would be worth posting up a screenshot of the dialog to be clear about that.
Check you
a) don't have an existing install in c:\program files (x86)\atlassian\sourcetree
b) try using the last 1.9.x installer , 1.9.13.7

hi,
1.9.13.7 installer seems to work OK. I can install the 1.9 version using that installer. This wasn't the case with SourceTreeSetup_1.9.9.20 installer which I tried earlied.
However, after 1.9.13.7 tries to update itself when it opens, I get the same errors:

....actually, now that I took another look at version numbers, I think the update box only shows older version... 1.9.10.0 being the latest one...
and the linked version you gave me is for 1.9.13.7 so I guess it is a later version.
I don't care if there is a newer version or not, this version seems to be working, so I think I'm good with this version, until 2.x gets a little bit better UI / UX.
Thanks!

Its troubling in installation, uninstallation and especially in using the tool for checkin-checkout flow.
Worst tool I have ever seen so far in 15 years of experience.
