How do you package Sourcetree so that it can be deployed in an enterprise?

Damon Morda October 20, 2017

We would like to use Sourcetree as our Git GUI within the enterprise. However, we’ve run into some implementation issues because we’ve not been able to find a way to bundle it as an enterprise application that can be silently installed.

Here are a few questions we were wondering if someone could help us with:

  1. How do you install Sourcetree if you do not have and do not want to have an Atlassian account?
  2. Is there an MSI version of the installer?
  3. Is there any guidance on recommended settings for installing with a configuration management tool like Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)?
  4. If there is no current solution for installing this in an enterprise kind of way, is that support on the roadmap?

Thanks in advance!

  1. You don't
  2. No.
  3. No.
  4. No, and (most likely) no.

I know that sounds harsh, but unfortunately the SourceTree team stopped caring about enterprise teams when they started requiring each user to have an Atlassian account and an internet connection when installing.
