More detail:
I have tried setting my username/password as default but the software keeps setting the "saved password" with username "personal access token" to default and it will not let me delete the one with personal access token. In fact if i try, it deletes my other saved password.

Hi Michael! That issue has been tracked as a bug at SRCTREE-4540 and SRCTREE-4507. I recommend you watch those tickets to be notified of future updates.
If you'd like, you can try the latest Alpha version as it has all the latest authentication changes. Then you can share your comments here, or directly in the bug ticket :)
