Has anyone else on Mac lost ability to directly open a repo from the command line or Open Recent?

Brady Wied October 29, 2018

I used to use  open -a /Applications/Sourcetree.app <someDir> all the time. This morning for no apparent reason it stopped working. I cleared out preferences, cache, and app support. I also tried using the actual stree binary to no avail. It looks like from the console that SourceTree decided to start seeking contact/addr book permissions when I do this. Anyone know why or have the same issue? I can add the repo in via bookmarks and open that way but that is much more time consuming. Pid 1480 below is the stree executable.

OS: 10.13.6
