HTTP Authentication Fails

For some reason, I cannot get SourceTree to authenticate using vanilla HTTP authentication. It will work just fine if I point my browser to the URL and enter usernane/password when prompted. However, when I try the same procedure from SourceTree, I get at least two more repeated prompts for my username/password before it gives up and says it isn't a valid URL.

Any advice on things to try to sort thisout?

Hi Wilco. Could you post your URL format? (doesn't need to include actual paths)

Is it an HTTP or HTTPS url?
