Embedded Git won't update to latest version

IByte April 20, 2017

If I click Tools > Options > Git > Update Embedded Git in SourceTree, ST starts downloading Git 2.10.2, which I already have. Hovever, the latest version of Git is 2.11.1, fixing several issues including security vulnerabilities.

Can the embedded Git version be updated to the latest version?

Hi! As a workaround you can install the latest version of Git on your computer, and then switch to it by clicking the Use system git buttonin SourceTree.

Hope this helps!

I understand. I'd still recommend updating the embedded Git version, though.
