Commit message is automatically filled with an old message

James Sciberras January 17, 2018

Hi, so I am fairly new with using Sourcetree, so apologies if this is obvious but I did a fair amount of searching and couldn't find an answer.

The issue:

A while back I had to amend my last commit message, which I managed to do without a problem. However, now every time I go to make a new commit that message is in the commit message window, which means I have to delete it before writing my new commit.

It is not a major issue, just frustrating (and I can live with it), but I was wondering if there was a way to fix this behaviour?

Thanks!

What version of Sourcetree are you using? What platform (OS) are you on?

Hi Brian,

Thank you for the response. I am on macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 and have Sourcetree 2.7.

Thanks!

Hi Brian,

Just wondering if there has been any progress on this?
