Checking out a single branch

Eduardo Mello May 16, 2013

I have on my projects one branch only for Graphics (graphics) and one branch for Development (master). I'd like to know if it's possible to choose, when cloning, which branch I want to clone. I don't want people who will work on graphics to get the master branch to prevent confusion. I know you can do it with git CLI: git clone user@git-server:project_name.git -b branch_name /some/folder.

Is there anyway to make this on SourceTree?

If you're on the Mac, yes - click the Advanced checkbox.

On Windows, it's not there yet, here's the tracking issue: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/SRCTREEWIN-532 - I'm going to try to get this out next week since a number of people have asked for it recently.
