After updating SourceTree for OSX to 2.4, I can no longer connect to Bitbucket in order to push or pull updates. I get the following error:
Please make sure you have the correct access rights and the repository exists.
Permission denied (publickey).
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.
Before updating to 2.4 I had no issues.
If I go to SourceTree > Preferences > Accounts and edit my account, it lists HTTPS. If I switch it to SSH it says "SSH Key: no key found". I can generate a key, but I do in fact already have a key properly setup and working in ~/.ssh.
I can use the command line without issue, just not SourceTree. Basically the update has rendered SourceTree useless for me. How can I resolve ASAP?
I resolved this after finding this thread: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/45396128.
Somehow my key was not added to OpenSSH. Using the following command resolved this:
ssh-add -k [path_to_private_key]
