Can't commit unless all files selected in SourceTree

Hi there.  I've been using SourceTree for the last week or so and I've been very happy with it so far.  However, I ran into an issue where I'm only able to commit to my Bitbucket repo when I have all files selected - if I have one or just a few selected, the Commit button in the bottom right of the window remains disabled.  Actually, I have to click the Select All checkbox at the top left of the window in order for the Commit button to be enabled.  The Commit button in the toolbar at the top of the window remains active but does nothing when I click on it.  I'm using Flat List (Multiple Column) view with No Staging.  I've tried changing back to Split View Staging, but I still get the same behavior.

I'm currently on 1.9.6 and had just upgraded when I noticed this behavior.  Previously, I was able to commit a few files at a time without any issues, but I'm not sure what version I was on before the upgrade.  Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?  I'm reasonably new to Git, so perhaps there's something I don't understand or that I'm missing that causes the issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Well, after seeing this issue below:

https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/39580090

I decided to downgrade to 1.9.5 of SourceTree:

Afterwards, my issue went away and I'm back to happy.  So it appears to be an issue with 1.9.6 of SourceTree.
