Authentication problem

Strahinja Mihajlović October 20, 2017

As you can see in the image below, I can't log in - I've tried eveything, reinstalling, updating, and what not, but got nothing out of it - Anyone had similar problem ?

I'm currently running Mac OS High Sierra (10.13) and my Sourcetree version is 2.6.3.

Hi Strahinja, can you confirm that you're using the right credentials? If so, are you able to log in to Bitbucket using the web interface?

If the credentials are wrong, you can delete the SourceTree Application password stored in the keychain, that will prompt you for a new password. Alternatively, you can navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/SourceTree and remove the passwd file.

If you're sure your credentials are right, please try a clean install following the steps:

  1. Wipe SourceTree preferences
  2. Uninstall SourceTree (if it shows on the App&Features list)
  3. Delete the directory ~/Library/Application Support/SourceTree
  4. Download SourceTree and install it.

If you're still unable to log in, you can try installing an older version from the archive for troubleshooting purposes

Let us know!

Cheers,

Ana
