Are there file size limitations within SourceTree?

I have a 6MB file in a repository.  The content of the file is not showing within SourceTree.  Also noticed that when trying to see differences between version, content of file is not showing.  Smaller files (5kb), content shows within SourceTree.  Why?

for larger files, you need to change the max file size under preferences->diff->size limit . I set mine to 6000 k

I believe it is because SourceTree has exhibited serious performance issues trying to diff huge files.
