Are you interested in hosting an Atlassian User Group?  Maybe you want to sponsor the meetup?  Read on for more info!

Venue Sponsorship

If you and your company would like to host an Atlassian User Group at your location, please consider the following:

  • Adequate parking: Can attendees park and walk to the meetup easily and without problems?  If not, can you post signs to make this easier?
  • Easy-to-GPS Directions: Will attendees need to go through a guard?  Is the address easily navigable?
  • Space/Equipment: Do you have enough chairs and tables?  Do you have a TV or projector?
  • Ability to have food delivered or catered: Food is a definite part of our events.  If there are restrictions on who can provide the food, please let me know.

If two or more of these are an issue, your venue may not be the best.  But if you're still interested, please read on.

Companies that provide a venue will be displayed as a sponsor on the Atlassian User Group event page and be able to advertise their company and/or products during the announcement.  It's best to keep this short and brief and encourage people to come talk to you afterwards for details.  Also, you can use this time to advertise any job openings you have.

Venue sponsors are NOT required to provide food (unless required to by corporate policy), but you should have trash cans available.

Event Sponsorship

If you and your company would like to sponsor an Atlassian User Group event, you have several options:

  • Food Sponsor: You provide the food, drinks, etc.
  • Swag Sponsor: You provide swag that people can pick up for free

Like the venue sponsorship, companies that wish to sponsor the event will be displayed on the Atlassian User Group event page and be able to advertise their company and/or products during the announcement.

Special note on swag sponsors: You are welcome to encourage people to sign up for an email advertisement, or drop a business card, or otherwise collect information from attendees, but please do not make this a requirement in order to receive swag.

Give Away Sponsorship

Got a product that you want to give away?  Do you want to give a demo of it first to get others interested?

If your product is not in the swag category and you want to give something away that is valued at $50 or more, you can get 15 minutes to present your product in addition to being displayed as a sponsor of the event.

Products should be connected to Atlassian in some way.  Examples include licenses to Marketplace applications, Trello Power-Ups, Consultation Time, etc.  If they don't and you want to give away something like a gift card, please contact the AUG leaders.
