verify supported version of postgres 9.x on windows 32 bit, 64 bit, and ubuntu linux 12.04 64 bit

IT Dept September 18, 2012

Am looking to migrate a 32 bit windows 2003 server to a 64 bit 12.04 ubuntu server.

Currently running confluence 4.3.1 on windows with postgresql 8.4.8 32 bit edition and jdk

java version 1.6.0_29

Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_29-b11)

Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 20.4-b02, mixed mode, sharing)

Would like to run the most up to date postgres and java possible but https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONF43/Supported+Platforms says that only 8.3, 8.4, and 9.0 are supported even though 9.1 and 9.2 are available.

Can you please confirm the best version of postgresql I can/should be running?

Also, what is preferred/recommended JDK version to run on ubuntu 12.04?

Thanks,

-Jason

Hi, I would go with everything of the latest in the supported platforms page. It's what's supported regardless. You will get support if there are issues.
