I am attempting to enhance my plugin to issue an sql request, however, I am getting an error on my call to Class.forName.
jira java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver
Our production environment uses MySQL, but I have more access in this sandbox area, so I want to first get it working here
String dbDriver = "org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver";
try {
Class.forName(dbDriver).newInstance();
} catch (InstantiationException e) {
// TODO Auto-generated catch block
e.printStackTrace();
} catch (IllegalAccessException e) {
// TODO Auto-generated catch block
e.printStackTrace();
} catch (ClassNotFoundException e) {
// TODO Auto-generated catch block
e.printStackTrace();
}
I resolved my issue by adding a dependency in the pom.xml file to include the driver with my jar
<dependency>
<groupId>hsqldb</groupId>
<artifactId>hsqldb</artifactId>
<version>1.8.0.5</version>
</dependency>
