hostBaseUrl value received with webhook data changed on the instance

Irena Shemesh May 7, 2017

Hello,

We have devloped a Cloud JIRA add-on that receives webhooks on issue create/update and performes some operations on the data. Instance that the add-on runs on is verified using clientKey saved in DB during add-on install. hostBaseUrl parameter passed as part of the add-on parameters with the webhook data is also saved in DB on the add-on install.

We have noticed that hostBaseUrl for one of the users has changed from its original value, saved when add-on was installed on their instance. Originally hostBaseUrl pointed to <original name>.atlassian.net, currently, in issue create/update webhook hostBaseUrl value provided among add-on paramaters with the same clientKey is <different name>.atlassian.net.

Can someone shed the light on how hostBaseUrl value can be changed on an instance? What kind of operation could be performed by the user to cause it or what instance setting was modified?

Thanks in advance.

Irena
