Hi Dominick,

It's hard to determine what is the issue here, but judging from other issues in the past with a similar error message you first may want to look at the disk usage for the root drive. You can check this by logging into the command line for HipChat Server and running the df command.

Sometimes the /var/log folder can fill up all the available space on the root drive. If so, you can either run hipchat log -r to force a log rotation or hipchat log -p to purge all of the logs.

If you've tried this and the issue persists, contact us at server-support@hipchat.com with the following items:

  • HCS version
  • Error message
  • Full df output
  • Steps to reproduce.

Cheers,
-David
